Agreement of responsibility & waiver of liability

By registering, participating in, or attending any amrit yoga institute programming, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. I am participating in experiential classes, lectures, and programs offered by the Amrit Yoga Institute during which I will receive information and instruction. I recognize that parts of the program may require potentially strenuous physical and mental exertion. I am voluntarily participating in these activities with full knowledge of the risks involved and hereby assume all risks related to my participation, which may include physical, emotional, and mental traumas, distress, or injuries.
2. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult a physician prior to and regarding my participation in experiential classes, health programs and workshops. I will abstain from activities that are contraindicated by my medical condition. The responsibility for following the limitations advised by my doctor is solely mine. I will not engage in any activities which I feel may be inadvisable based on my medical history or personal judgment. I represent, for the reliance of Amrit Yoga Institute, that I am physically fit, of sound mind, and emotionally stable. I further represent that I do not have any physical or mental condition that would prevent my full participation in these programs or expose me to any risk of trauma or injury.
3. In consideration of being permitted to participate in the lectures, classes and other programs including outdoor activities, I agree to assume all risks and responsibility for any physical, mental, or emotional traumas, distress, injury or damage to my personal property that I might sustain as a result of my participation in this program and my stay at the program location including my vehicle, even if it is a rental car, and any food and services arranged for me. I release, jointly and severally, the host facility (Amrit Yoga Institute, FL or elsewhere), Amrit Yoga Institute organization, its instructors, Yogi Amrit Desai, its staff, agents and volunteers from any liability for any such traumas, distress, injuries, or property damage.
4. On behalf of myself and all others in legal relationship with me I hereby release and waive all claims, discharge and covenant not to sue the host facility (Amrit Yoga Institute, FL or elsewhere), Amrit Yoga Institute, its instructors, Yogi Amrit Desai, or its staff or volunteers, jointly and severally, for any such traumas, distress, injuries and/or property damage resulting from the negligence of, or other acts, however caused, by any employee, associate, volunteer, agent or supplier of Amrit Yoga Institute, or whether arising out of any incident related to my participation in this program or arising from an act of Nature. This waiver specifically includes giving up any right I may have to sue Amrit Yoga Institute and its agents and associates from any and all claims, actions and demands that I may have for bodily injury, death or property damage arising from my participation in the program, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of Amrit Yoga Institute and/or its agents and/or associates.
5. I understand that if I am to use any host location facilities, recreational, yoga or fitness equipment at Amrit Yoga Institute, FL or elsewhere, I do so at my own risk and am responsible for my own safety and the safety of others and their property. At Amrit Yoga Institute Salt Springs FL this includes but is not limited to campus kayaks, canoes, bicycles, or fitness equipment. I understand that there are inherent risks associated with the use of such facilities and equipment and assert that I am aware of such risks. I assume full liability for any harm I cause to myself or others through the use of facility or equipment. I forever discharge and release host facility, Amrit Yoga Institute, its instructors, Yogi Amrit Desai, and its staff or volunteers from any liability as a result of my use of such facilities and equipment. I further specifically agree, on behalf of myself, my heirs and assigns, to indemnify and hold harmless the released parties for any and all causes of action arising as a consequence of any incidents which might occur as a consequence of my participation in any activities with or involving the released parties.
6. This release of liability is entered into on behalf of all members of my family, including any minors accompanying me. I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian of any such minors. This agreement is binding on my heirs, legal representatives and assigns. If any portion of this agreement is unenforceable, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect.
7. I understand that Amrit Yoga Institute or its designated representative may be recording and/or photographing during this program. Unless I specify otherwise, I hereby consent to being photographed or recorded and further consent to Amrit Yoga Institute and Yoga Network International, Inc. making use of such videotapes, photographs, or segments thereof for any purpose whatsoever without the payment of any royalties or other compensation to me. I assign irrevocably to Amrit Yoga Institute and Yoga Network International, Inc. any copyright or other intellectual property that may relate to my inclusion in video, audio, or still photography footage and acknowledge that Amrit Yoga Institute and Yoga Network International, Inc. are the exclusive owners of the copyright and all other intellectual property rights to any footage in which my likeness or voice may appear.
8. I agree to follow the rules and guidelines of Amrit Yoga Institute.
9. I agree that Amrit Yoga Institute has the right, exercisable in its sole discretion, to cancel my participation at any time.
10. I agree to keep confidential any personal information that may be shared within the classroom context, whether in the whole group or private discussion. I agree not to share any information, verbally or in any other media form without express permission from the person or persons involved. In addition, this may include posts or sharing any photos, videos or other media material of others without their permission.
11. All applications are subject to acceptance by Amrit Yoga Institute. Upon acceptance of my application, this agreement shall be deemed to have been entered into and to be performed at Salt Springs and shall be construed according to the laws of the State of Florida.
12. In the unlikely event a legal dispute should arise involving any subject matter whatsoever, I agree that the dispute shall be settled by binding arbitration with the American Arbitration Association in Ocala, Florida. Should the arbitration provision be held unenforceable, I agree that any legal action shall exclusively be brought before the appropriate Court of the State of Florida, in Marion County, Florida or the Federal Court in Ocala, Florida.

By registering, participating in, or attending any programming provided by the Amrit Institute you agree you have read carefully the foregoing and represent that you fully understand this Waiver and Release.
