Come Home to the Heart: An AYI Celebration in Jamaica
This one is a homecoming. This year we celebrate 25 years of the Amrit Yoga Institute, and we’re marking the milestone where the Caribbean Sea meets the white sand of Silver Sands, Jamaica. Join us as we come together as a spiritual family to honor the path that has shaped so many of our lives, and the teachers who have walked it with us.
This is a rare and precious chance to sit with Amritji in Jamaica, and it may be one of the last. There is something words can’t quite hold about being in the presence of our teachers together: the felt sense of energy that fills a room, the quiet recognition that we are home. This retreat is an invitation to drop beneath the busyness of life and return to the heart of the heart, the place where practice becomes presence and presence becomes joy.
Our days will flow with practice, rest, sunshine and sea. Our evenings will be filled with kirtan, laughter and the sweetness of community. We’ll also celebrate Kamini’s birthday, along with a special celebration night to honor all we’ve shared over 25 years. Whether you’ve been part of the AYI family for decades or are just finding your way to us, you belong here.
Everything is taken care of so you can simply arrive and be. Your stay includes airport transfers, all meals prepared by the villa cooks, accommodation in beautiful private villas steps from the beach, and our celebration evening. All you need to bring is yourself, and perhaps a friend or two, because joy grows when it’s shared.
We need each other now more than ever. Come reconnect, come celebrate, and come make a splash with us in Jamaica.

Lead Teachers
Gurudev Shri Amritji is the first disciple to bring the sacred teachings of the Lord Lakulish (Shiva) and Kripalu Lineage to the West in 1960. Gurudev was personally empowered to give shaktipat by his Guru Swami Shri Kripalvanada. In 1970 Gurudev experienced a spontaneous awakening of the Soul Being Presence that I AM. This was reinforced by a three month meditation retreat in silence and seclusion. He emerged as a spiritual master embodying the rare capacity to transmit profound healing and transformative prana Shakti through energetic transmission. He discovered the body is the book of secrets; it is the temple of prana Shakti, and heart is the center of Shiva consciousness. Gurudev is repeatedly honored by prestigious organizations and world-renowned authorities in the East and West. Nirali began regularly practicing yoga when she was thirteen. She came to the feet of our lineage at the age of fifteen while taking classes from a Kripalu trained yoga teacher, which altered the trajectory of her life in a profound and enduring way. At eighteen, she devoted herself to yoga full-time, and at twenty, she moved to the Amrit Yoga Institute, entering a period of immersive study and professional development that continues to shape her life’s work today.
