Every reaction arises out of the discrepancy between reality and your ideas about how it should be or how you expect it to be. This process unfolds so quickly that most people experience only the reaction itself, without recognizing that every reaction contains both an emotional and a mental component. When the original relationship or event happened, you had both an emotional reaction and a mental reaction.
Emotional Reaction
The emotional reaction came from your pre-programmed fears, anger, jealousy, addiction to pleasure, fear of pain, and other conditioned tendencies. This reaction came from the past that was triggered by the present.
Mental Reaction
After this reaction from the past was over, you reactively processed it through the medium of the mind. This part represents your reinforcement of the past. Although the emotional reaction may have already arisen, the mental part is where the reaction continues to live. The mental part is where you can interrupt the process of reinforcing the past. This is your personal option: to let go of reinforcing the past.
When you witness the reactive thoughts without continuing to participate in them, you are no longer reinforcing the past through the medium of the mind. As the reinforcement begins to dissolve, your attention naturally shifts from the thinking head to the feeling body. Rather than continuing to think about the reaction, you begin to directly experience the feelings and emotions that remain present within the body.
When the shift happens, you become directly present with your experience. This creates a shift from your head to the bodily felt feelings, sensations and emotions. When you drop from the thinking head to the feeling body, you are connected to the feelings and emotions that were built into your energy body.
This shift does not occur because you are trying to change the feelings. It occurs because you are no longer using the mind to maintain them. By allowing the feelings to be experienced directly instead of reactively processing them through thought, you free trapped energy previously bound by the old blockage.
Only when you allow energetic harmony are you entering experiential transformation. When you witness your reactive thoughts, you have not yet transformed the trapped energy into its evolutionary freedom. You are learning how to transition from thinking to feeling. This means you are moving from conflict-creating, dualistic thinking into the co-creative dimension of polarity. Polarity is the natural foundation for the supernatural unity to manifest.
The energy that is trapped in your unconscious energy body, which appears to be a problem to the ego mind, is actually the doorway to freedom for Consciousness. The energy that you receive from food, breath, sleep, or rest is automatically subservient to your ego mind. Therefore, only the energy released from the ego mind that trapped it becomes evolutionary energy. When the trapped energy is freed from the ego mind, it enters into ascension from the lower centers of consciousness into the heart and the higher evolutionary centers of consciousness.
When you accept and witness your reactive thoughts, everything that you say about yourself, others, and the world is your personal creation. In order to reconnect to the source of loving Presence within, you must accept yourself, others, and the world as they come to you from moment to moment. It is not a journey in time. It is a journey from time to timeless Presence.
