Gurudev Shri Amritji is the first disciple to bring the sacred teachings of the Lord Lakulish (Shiva) and Kripalu Lineage to the West in 1960. Baba Bhagavan Das
In 1963 at the age of 18, Bhagavan Das traversed the globe to live in the jungle of the Himalayas as a hermit-sadhu. He was given the holy name of Ram by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. He then received daily tapas from Swami Chaitanya Prakashananda Tirth to open to God’s Grace. In 1965, after a year of fasting, prayer and intense purification, Bhagavan Das met his Sat Guru, the Mahasiddha Neem Karoli Baba (Maharaji) who he lived with side by side for 6 years. Maharaji sent him to Anandamayi Ma to receive initiation from the Divine Mother. Later he lived with Lama Kalu Rinpoche, the guru of the 16th Karmapa. He gave Bhagavan Das the Mahamudra transmission. Bhagavan Das received the Clear Light of Primordial Awareness from His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche and then the Vajra Yogini transmission directly from the 16th Karmapa in Sikkim. Indranil Mallick, a promising Tabla player of rare skill, has already established himself both as a soloist and accompanist. Born to a family of genuine music connoisseurs, he received his initial training in Tabla when he was only five from his uncle, Sri Montu Mallick. Later he was trained by Prof. Dhabol Bandyapadhaya.From 1985 he was under the guidance of Sri Uttam Chakraborty, senior disciple of Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri.Now he is under the guidance of Pt. Swapan Chaudhuri . Indranil belongs to Luckhnow Gharana style of Tabla. A well-known dancer among the younger generation of Bharatanatyam dancers. Trained initially under late Guru K. P.P Thampi from the age of five. Oindrila honed her dance skills further under Legendary Guru Khagendra Nath Barman, one of the most senior disciples of Guru Rukmini Devi Arundale, Founder of unique “Kalakshetra”Style (Bharataatyam).From 2011 she started leaning under the guidance of Guru Abhoy Pal of kalamandalam Style. So Oindrla’s dance reflects the cumulative richness of her learning experience. Her passion remains deeply rooted in classical dance.
