I AM Yoga Therapy™: Returning to the Source of Healing

Most people attempt to heal by fixing the symptoms. However, true healing is not in treating the outer surface; it is in returning to the Source. I AM Yoga Therapy™ is a sacred practice of remembering the wholeness that was never broken. It is not just about movement, and it is not just about stillness. It is about accessing the presence that restores harmony, no matter what appears.

Unlike traditional yoga that focuses on alignment, strength, or flexibility, I AM Yoga Therapy™ begins with a different question: what is the root of suffering, and how do you meet it consciously? Through this approach, the body becomes a doorway, the breath becomes a bridge, and the presence that witnesses both becomes the elixir.

In my own life and teaching, I have seen that pain is not the enemy. The real source of pain is the reactive mind that judges, resists, and projects onto what is. The practice of I AM Yoga Therapy™ is a method for replacing this reactive ego-mind with witnessing consciousness, so that what once appeared as an edge becomes a doorway.

What is the “Edge”?

The edge is the threshold where your unconscious resistance meets your conscious awareness. It may appear as tightness in the body, fear in the mind, or constriction in the chest. To the reactive ego-mind, the edge is something to avoid, fix, or overcome. In I AM Yoga Therapy™, you learn that the edge is not the problem, but actually the portal. You are guided to meet the edge with breath, stillness, and non-reactive attention and when you do, the energy that was trapped in reactivity begins to release.

The edge is never the cause of your suffering. Actually, it reveals the reactive perceiver, the ego-mind, that carries the unresolved impressions of the past and projects them into the present. What appears as tension in the body is often the manifestation of inner conflict. When you meet the edge with awareness, you are not just softening the body, you are seeing your own projections, fears, and judgments mirrored back to you.

When you experience a reactive emotion or physical resistance, it is not the edge that creates the problem. It is the past: the memory of pain, the expectation of rejection, the need for approval, that is triggered by the present moment. In this way, the edge is never just physical. It is a mirror of the unconscious. To meet the edge consciously is to dissolve the masking memory stress that separates you from the now.

From Thinking to Feeling

Most people try to resolve their pain by thinking through it. But thinking is often the defense mechanism of the ego-mind. When you stop trying to fix your thoughts and instead feel your sensations, you drop out of the head and into the body. Here, you enter the domain of the energy body, where healing happens without effort.

This shift from thinking to feeling allows the parasympathetic nervous system, the body’s rest, digest, and restore response, to awaken. The energy that was once bound in protection and defense returns to the flow of prana. You do not heal by doing, but instead by no longer interfering.

Yoga as a Spiritual Practice In Ayurveda, health is defined not as the absence of symptoms but as “Swasthya,” being established in the Self. I AM Yoga Therapy™ is the practice of returning to that state. It is not only about resolving pain. It is about releasing the root cause: the reactive ego-mind that hijacks the energy body and converts life force into stress.

When you stop identifying with the reactive mind, you stop feeding it. The moment you withdraw from reaction, the ego-mind loses its fuel. You return to the timeless, witnessing presence that does not judge or divide. As Patanjali says, “Yoga is the cessation of the fluctuations of the mind.” In I AM Yoga Therapy™, this ceasing is not forced. It unfolds naturally when you return to the body, to sensation, to the timeless presence that is always now.

How the Practice Works The I AM Yoga Therapy™ system unfolds in two stages:

Yoga Therapy I introduces touch-free, assessment-based guidance using breath and body awareness. You learn to detect holding patterns and support your own healing through presence and self-facilitation.
Yoga Therapy II introduces hands-on techniques using props, postural support, and polarity-based body psychology. This deeper layer allows stored energy and emotion to safely unwind through the sacred practice of conscious embodiment.
Benefits and Transformation You may experience relief from chronic pain, tension, emotional overwhelm, anxiety, depression, fatigue, and stress-related symptoms. But more than relief, you experience something deeper: a return to the Source. A felt connection with the presence that does not react, judge, or divide. This is the essence of healing.

As you withdraw from reactivity, the energy once bound in protection and defense returns to the parasympathetic field. The body remembers how to self-regulate, self-heal, and restore. What once appeared as conflict becomes communion.

I AM Yoga Therapy™ does not add anything to you. It helps remove what you are not, so that what you are may reveal itself, effortlessly and fully. You are not here to fix the self you think you are. You are here to remember the Self you have always been.

Whether you are a seeker, a healer, or simply someone who longs to live with greater harmony, I AM Yoga Therapy™ offers a path. It is a practice of truth, a science of transformation and a return to the sacred intelligence already within you. This is not therapy for the body alone.
