About The Ashram
The ashram provides a natural, peaceful setting permeated by the powerful vibrations and felt energetic presence of Bapuji and Dadaji, the masters of our lineage. The morning and evening devotional ceremonies of puja and aarti open your heart and connect you directly and energetically. Nestled in the rural countryside surrounded by flowers, farmland and local wildlife, you will feel drawn back in time into ancient India.
About The Kripalu Samadhi Mandir
Swami Kripalu’s body is buried beneath this incredible temple. It is a powerful energy vortex and the epicenter of our Lineage. Nearby, Bapuji spent many years in sadhana. At this sacred place, Gurudev Shri Amritji was invited by Bapuji to study the secrets of Kundalini yoga. This is recorded in the book Letters from Swami Kripalu to Yogi Amrit Desai, 1966-1973. Since Bapuji’s passing in 1981, the Patel family has played a significant role in carrying forward the legacy of our lineage by building and maintaining the Kripalu Samadhi Mandir.
IMMERSE WITH US
Gurudev Shri Amritji
Amritji is the first to bring the unique aspect of the inner, meditative dimension of yoga to the West and seamlessly incorporate it into a popular hatha yoga practice. He is one of the first arrivals and the last living guru from this initial wave, and a pioneer in bringing the authentic practices of Yoga to the West.
Join us on a rare opportunity to learn from him and experience first-hand the very places and sites that impacted him the deepest while studying with his guru and on his lifelong spiritual path.
Kamini Desai, PHD
Kamini was not just born in a spiritual family. Her entire life was steeped in the teachings and company of spiritual community. She was directly connected to Bapuji from the age of 8 and was in his presence and teachings for more than 4 years when he stayed close to her family.
For the past 30 years, Kamini has carried the teachings in her own unique way, professionally training practitioners across the globe.
Malay Desai
As a heart-forward visionary and yogi, Malay has dedicated his life to collecting and preserving the teachings, historical footage and traditions of the Lakulish-Kripalu-Amrit lineage. Malay not only lived with Bapuji for four years in America, he also lived in India for four years during his childhood. These chapters ignited his passion for the vibrance and arts of Indian culture and to begin regularly leading tours through India more than 20 years ago.
Traveling with Malay, you’ll not only have the opportunity to visit popular and lesser known sites, shops and villages, you’ll experience a rare glimpse of true India.
