| Job Summary |
Acts as Executive Director responsible for managing the affairs of the organization under the general oversight of the Board of Directors |
| Duties and Responsibilities |
- Staff the Board of Directors and recommend organizational policy.
- Maintain a handbook of organizational policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with and implementation of organizational policies.
- Provide overall administration of the day-to-day affairs of the Amrit Yoga Institute, including:
- Work with Program Director to develop the annual program calendar – length, spacing, pricing and themes of programs.
- Oversee all activities essential to organizational operation and advancement including: marketing, fundraising, customer service and transactions, program coordination, IT, website, and office management.
- Anticipate and propose solutions to organizational development, operating, program, and financial problems and issues.
- Facilitate the adequate availability and development of personnel, including:
- Hiring and mentoring of paid staff.
- Oversight of volunteer staff.
- Initiating regular staff meetings.
- Facilitate regular Board review and analysis of financial information, proposing appropriate action when needed.
- Create and implement, with Board approval and support, annual budgets, goals and objectives.
- Oversee the management of operations and the creation and management of programs in compliance with goals, objectives, policies, reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that the short- and long-term working capital and financial management needs of the organization are adequately addressed.
- Ensure maintenance of effective internal controls for the protection of organization assets.
- Community and public relations—assure the organization and its mission, programs, products and services are consistently presented in a strong, positive way to relevant stakeholders. Oversee marketing, branding, and advertising.
- Fundraising – develop and implement major gift and annual fundraising programs to serve the projects and mission of the Institute. Enlist board, staff, and volunteer involvement to attain fundraising objectives.

| Qualifications |
- College graduate with 5 or more years experience in non-profit or organizational management, preferably including communications, fundraising, media and external relations with at least 3 years in a management position. Preferred: Master’s Degree in Public Administration or MBA.
- Thorough understanding of nonprofit financial management information requirements.
- Knowledge and experience in creating and implementing strategic frameworks for organizational advancement and prosperity.
- Ability to build, maintain and manage long-term relationships with constituents.
- Ability to work well in a small office which requires team work, planning and evaluation.
- Ability to supervise and mentor paid staff and volunteers in the unique setting of a spiritual community.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects with limited support staff.
- Excellent writing skills, including proofreading and editing abilities.
- Excellent communication and outreach skills.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Strong skills in negotiation, conflict-resolution and team building.
- Interest and experience in the nonprofit sector.
- Passion for the study and practice of yoga and yogic teachings, personal growth and transformation.
- Highly creative and entrepreneurial in developing approaches to reach target audiences.
- Must have excellent organizational and critical thinking skills.
- Required: Strong computer skills in MS Office including: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access. Preferred: knowledge of Adobe application, including In-Design and Photoshop.

| Job Summary |
First point of contact at the Amrit Yoga Institute. Responsible for customer service, answering phones, data entry and maintenance of contact information, program sales and registration, taking retail phone orders. Administrative support to Administrator and Program Coordinator. |
| Duties and Responsibilities |
- First contact and consistent voice for Amrit Yoga Institute. Represents the Institute in a professional and courteous manner. Customer service duties, including:
- Answering phones in the Institute main office
- Under the guidance and supervision of the Institute Administrator, maintaining email and written correspondence with prospective and registered program attendees, students, and teachers.
- Taking phone orders and tracking orders for Amrit Kala.
- Oversees guest services aspects of on-site programs, including:
- Scheduling off-campus housing for programs.
- Scheduling and supervising cleaning crews for programs.
- Coordinating airport shuttles, guest pick-ups, and other travel arrangements as needed.
- Supporting Seva Coordinator during programs.
- Assuring the comfort and safety of guests on the Institute campus with issues related to food, housing and hospitality.
- Communicating special needs of students to kitchen and other staff.
- Data entry of contact and payment information, maintaining and reporting program registration and attendance.
- Other duties as assigned by Institute Administrator.

| Qualifications |
- High school education or equivalent. Preferred: experience in office management, administrative support, sales, retail, or hospitality.
- Ability to work well in a small office which requires team work.
- Good customer service skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and respond to multiple requests.
- Attention to detail, especially related to data entry and communications.
- Good organizational skills.
- Preferred: Passion for the study and practice of yoga and yogic teachings, personal growth and transformation.
- Required: Strong computer skills in MS Office, especially Outlook, Access, Word, and Excel. Preferred: knowledge of PowerPoint and web applications

Hourly wage commensurate with experience. Position is part-time/seasonal. |
